What is Bulk Action?

Bulk Action is a Movidesk feature that allows you to update or apply the same action to multiple tickets simultaneously [cite: 1]. This batch action feature optimizes operation time, eliminating the need to open and edit tickets one by one [cite: 1].

What batch actions can be executed?

Through bulk action, you can apply several simultaneous changes to your ticket list [cite: 1]. Supported actions include:

  • Ticket Data: Change type, service, category, urgency, subject, and change additional field value [cite: 1].

  • Status and Relationships: Change parent ticket status and add action [cite: 1].

  • Assignment and Clients: Change ticket client, change assignee, add to copy (Cc), and remove from copy (Cc) [cite: 1].

  • Organization (Tags): Include TAG, define TAGs, remove TAGs, remove specific TAGs, and include TAG to action [cite: 1].

  • Others: Remove asset(s) [cite: 1].

Important Notice: It is possible to apply more than one action at the same time in a single bulk action [cite: 1].

Requirement: Access Profile Permission (Agents)

For an agent to be able to use batch editing, the permission must be active in their access profile [cite: 1].

How to enable:

  1. Access Settings > Access Profile [cite: 1].

  2. Open the access profile of the Agents type [cite: 1].

  3. Go to the Tickets tab [cite: 1].

  4. Look for the Ticket listing and visualization section [cite: 1].

  5. Enable the option: "Allow the agent to perform bulk ticket action" [cite: 1].

How to apply Bulk Action (Step by Step)

Mass editing is available exclusively in the List type view [cite: 1]. (Note: The function is not compatible with Kanban type views) [cite: 1].

  1. Access the Agent Dashboard (or your custom view) [cite: 1].

  2. Open a List type view (example: "All tickets") [cite: 1].

  3. Use the necessary filters to find the tickets and select the checkbox next to each ticket you want to change [cite: 1].

  4. In the upper corner of the list, near the "Search" field, click the Options button [cite: 1].

  5. Select Bulk action [cite: 1].

  6. In the window that opens, locate the Actions field and choose the desired modification [cite: 1].

  7. Click Save to apply the batch actions [cite: 1].

To confirm the success of the operation, you can open any of the changed tickets and check the Change history tab [cite: 1].

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I apply a TAG to tickets with a "Closed" status via bulk action?

Yes [cite: 1]. Access the list view, select the closed tickets, click Options > Bulk Action [cite: 1]. In the actions field, choose "Include TAG" or "Define TAGs", select the desired tag and click Save [cite: 1].

Does the system register that the change was made via Bulk Action in the ticket history?

There is no exclusive "Bulk Action" label [cite: 1]. The Change history will register the name of the agent who executed the action and what was changed [cite: 1]. Tip for audit: If the agent applies batch actions, all changes to the selected tickets will be saved with the exact same date and time [cite: 1].
