In this article you will learn the chat operation parameters. 

Parameters 
The parameters presented in this article define the chat operation.

  • Use the chat support module

This parameter indicates whether chat support will be activated in your Movidesk account. If it is unchecked, no options related to the module will be available in your system. To enable this parameter, go to: Menu Main > Settings > Account > Parameters, select the Additional Modules tab and go to the Chat Support group. 

  • Parameters defining the chat operation by Access Profile

Location: Main Menu > Settings > People > Access Profiles. Now select the Access Profile you want to configure by clicking on it. We present the following options below: 

  • Allow registration of chat groups

This parameter indicates if the agent will be able to register the chat groups (Topics) that will be available in the application on your site. To enable, go to Agent Access Profile, tab Settings, Chat Group.

  • Allow registration of chat applications

This parameter indicates if the agent will be able to register by changing the chat applications that will be installed on your site. To enable, go to Agent Access Profile, tab Settings, Chat Group.

  • Allow inviting the ticket customer to a chat conversation

This parameter indicates if the agent will be able to invite the ticket customer or even other agents to chat in an existing ticket. To enable, go to Agent Access Profile, tab Tickets, group Support.

  • Allow inviting the ticket owner to a chat conversation***

This parameter indicates if the customer will be able to invite the ticket agent responsible for the ticket to a chat if they are online. To enable, go to Customer Access Profile, tab Tickets, group View.

*** This will only work if the parameter “Allow viewing the ticket owner” is enabled. This parameter can be found in the same group: View.

  • Application for opening tickets via chat

This parameter indicates which chat application will be available for the customer to contact the support team after logging in to Movidesk. To enable, go to Customer Access Profile, tab Tickets, group Opening.
