In this article, you will learn how to apply filters when using the indicators in Movidesk

What are filters?

Filters refer to a tool included in the indicators menu, which allows for a more detailed specification based on the selection made by the chosen indicator. Click here to see how to use the indicators.

How to use filters?

To apply a filter to an indicator, you first need to create it. Click on Indicators in the side menu of your Movidesk. Then, Configure Panels and Filters and then click on Filters in the left side menu of the tab.

When selecting the Filter field, you will be able to create a new filter by clicking on the at the top, on the top right of the screen.

When creating a filter, you need to choose a name for it.

Tip: use a functional name that allows you to easily understand the criteria used to compose your chart.

On the same screen, you should specify the conditions that must be met for them to appear in your filter. Remember that all of them need to be true for the tickets to appear in your indicator.

We will present an example below to illustrate the application of the tool. When creating a filter titled, for example, Services and category, list the conditions of the field: Combined Conditions. In this case, only tickets that meet all the combined conditions will appear in the filter.

Equals

Also list the conditions of the field:
Independent Conditions. In this case, tickets that meet at least one of the listed conditions will appear.

Once the filter is created, it will appear as an option to be applied to your indicators.

Open your indicators tab and, at the top of the chart, in the combo box select the filter, you will see the list of filters already created.

By clicking on the combo box, you will be able to select the created filter.

This will change the chart configuration as new metrics will be considered.

In the example mentioned above, the Tickets by client (person) chart, when selecting the Services and category filter, will show all public tickets, 1st level of service, allocated to the doubt category, belonging to the Not defined sprint and/or Backlog.

You can configure the filter according to the best use for the context of your company.
