In this article, you will learn how to configure the application in the knowledge base.

Movidesk provides the Knowledge Base application to enhance customer service. Through the application, it is possible to perform a quick search on a specific topic, which will return the articles from your base.

You can enable the application for exclusive use or use it in conjunction with the chat application. To do this, you must have an access profile with permission to access settings > chat - apps > main > app type > choose option.

To define the appearance of the knowledge base application, go to the appearance settings tab, which includes the following fields:

  • Title: Displays the name of your application to customers.
  • Welcome message: Will show a second welcome option just below the initial greeting “Hello, can we help?”
  • Logo: You can insert, change, or remove your company's logo to display on the top right side of the application.
  • Application position on the screen: You can choose to place the chat screen on the left side, center, or right side of the screen.
  • Application height on the screen: You can define a different pixel measure from the suggested (60px) for your application.
  • Application model: Defines the option of a presentation model that can be expanded to show the full title or collapsed to show only the icon.
  • Format: Defines the format in which your application's icon will appear, which can be Simple, Square, or Circle.
  • Icon: Shows the available iconography to use for representing your application.
  • Fill color: Choose the fill color of the application.
  • Font color: Define the color of the font that will be displayed in the application.
  • Preview: Shows a preliminary result of your choices.

In the application code tab, there is an important field, the application code that you can apply to your website, for example.

These are the displays of the application when it is Knowledge Base and Chat + Knowledge Base.

When a user types something in the search field of the Knowledge Base application, it will return up to 3 of the most relevant articles from your base with the option to show more results, which, when accessed, will open in a new tab. Clicking on one of the articles to view it will open it in a new tab, providing greater readability.

If the search returns no results, the following message will appear: "No articles found. Try searching for another term".
