The registration of Hour Type  allows various types of hours for different times of the day. The idea is to be able to define a grid of hours for each hour type.

To access the hour type registration, click on the menu Settings > Time Tracking - Hour Type.

The hour type registration defaults to Normal and Extra types. It is now possible to create new hour types, allowing different types of hours for different times of the day.

Considerations: 

• If in the Period Type Definition under Settings > Parameters - Additional Modules, the option Automatically by the system is selected, by default the suggested time grid is the same as registered in the system settings (Settings > Parameters - Settings). If the option Manually by agent is selected, the time grid is not displayed.
• The Extra type covers all grids not covered by other types, meaning that for this hour type the time grid is not displayed, even if the above parameter is marked as "Automatically by the system", allowing only the Name to be changed.

Example 1: Hours not covered by other types.

IMPORTANT!  It is not possible to delete or disable an hour type when it is the only registration to cover hours not covered by other types.

Example 2: Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 12:00 / 13:30 - 18:00.
